Nov. 7th-11th

Another week is here! This is what we'll be doing this week:

Language Arts:
New letter focus/alphafriend: Tt for Tiggy Tiger
New word: 'my' Review: 'I' and 'see'
We'll read a story about a spanish family: Tortillas and Lullabyes. We will learn some spanish names and words and focus on how the story makes us feel. We'll also focus on the characters and the setting.

Math:
We'll continue to work on numbers 0-5 and their order. We'll also move into the next chapter on numbers 6-10.

Religion:
We'll finish up practicing for Liturgy for Wednesday and then move on to talk about honesty and obeying our parents.

Science:
We'll talk about energy from the sun. We'll explore and discuss how the sun helps us and can sometimes hurt us (sunburn.)

Social Studies:
We'll talk about Thanksgiving and traditions. We'll discuss our own family traditions and what we are thankful for.

Centers:
We'll be making Thanksgiving hats in Centers this week. Center 1 will make Native American Hats, Center 2 will make Turkey hats and Center 3 will make Pilgrim hats. We'll save these for next week and wear them for our All School Thanksgiving Dinner (at lunchtime next Thursday.)

Art:
We'll be getting into our watercolors! We will make a class Thanksgiving story and the children will then illustrate what they think a good setting would be for it using their watercolors.

That's all for now...be sure to check their folders for other important items throughout the week! Thanks for stopping by!
